Hey everyone... Im sure no one even looks at my blog anymore.. considering I never post on it!! But Im here now to update ya'll on my little adventure... It is going fantastic... I have about 6 weeks left until i come home... I am on major outreach right now.. Sitting in a computer room in Darwin Australia... we have been here for almost a month already..its crazy how the time flys... I feel like it was just yesterday when i was waiting in anticipation to come here to Australia... But outreach is great.. for the first 10 days we did this thing called "Impact Summer" where youth from all over Darwin came to the YWAM base for a 10 day camp.. let me tell you.. it was the first ever Impact Summer to ever be ran in Darwin and the first time for me to staff anything and it was such a success... it blows me away... I saw soo many kids truely give their lives to the Lord.. and thats what I do... I love the youth and Im here to encourage them to make that commitment..it was so powerful... Then this last week my team and I went to this little tiny town called Mandorah.. to help this family do some work around their house and the church they own.. The church is located in an Aboriginal community called Belyuen.. 6 of us went to the church and the others stayed back at the house... they built a fire ring and a nice long trail to have quiet times on.. and me and my crew painted a room in the church.. now this church is really old and ratty looking.. but we made this one room look so amazing.. it honestly brought tears to my eyes... I loved being out in Mandorah.. the quietness and peacefulness just took my breath away.. it gave me a chance to sit and meditate on Gods love and to see a few Kangaroos... LOL... and the family was amazing.. they made us feel right at home!!!
We have one more week in Darwin and we will be going to another Aboriginal Community called Bagot... this community is a little less chaotic then Belyuen.. so its a little easier for us to do our work... Then on Sunday of next week we will be getting on another plane to fly to Perth then get on a bus and go to Geraldton to see Impact World Tour... its going to be RAD.. thats the only word I can think of to express what it will be like.. we'll be in Geraldton for a week 1/2 and then go to Mount Isa for two 1/2 weeks and then back to Townsville for a week.. and IM OUTA HERE!! lol.. back home for only a short time..
I cant even express to you guys how much this school has made a difference in my life.. I can honestly say that Im not the same Amy that left Menahga Minnesota.. The day I left will be a day I would never want back... Thank you guys for all your support and I want to give a HUGE, MASSIVE thank you to Kayla Stelzer... You honestly dont know how much you touch my life.. just by the little acts of love you show me.. thank you so much and God bless you...

Hey ya'll
I have heaps to say, so sorry to those who have already heard all this...
I have been here for coming up on 5 weeks...and I LOVE IT.. its home away from home!! Everyone is so great and welcoming!! it is sweet as!! Im done in March, but I think I might be coming back here!! Im not 100% possitive yet, but its a good chance.. it would be in Jan 2007, for School of Music in Missions!! Pray for me about that!! thank you!! But i will tell you a little about what i've learned and what im doing... we are reading two books right now.. one by Joy Dawson- called "Forever ruined for the ordinary" and the other one is by Loren Cunningham founder of YWAM- called "Is that really you God". we will have to do book reports on them.. one is due this Friday..Then we have workbooks and journals due every friday at 5:00.. just on things about that week... pretty cool... then that leads me into what we have learned... Week one was all about rules of the school.. week two was about clear conscience christianity.. with Ken Mulligan director of the base...third week was about Holy spirit with Paul Richards, and the fourth week was Identity and destiny with Joanne Blaik.. this week was my favorite... we got deep down inside us and found who we really are.. we got rid of the lies that Satan put inside us to believe... and found that we really are fearfully and wonderfully made!! So thats a little about what Im experiencing!!
Then there is the outreach drama!! everyone wants to know where they will be going for Major outreach.. Im not in a huge hurry.. we know locations but we dont know where we are going as groups.. we just know where we can go.. the locations are: Western Australia, Northern territory of Australia, Southeast Asia, and The Islands.. Please pray about it and see if you get something from God to tell me.. I feel like I know where im going.. and so does my parents... but I would like to see what you guys get!!!
Then on my "time off" Im usually going to the strand with my friends to swim or just sit in the sun and read one of the two books!! lol... its always a good time!!! At least im not sitting in the snow reading a book eh?? LOL...But yeah.. i would love to hear from you guys.. you know you can write me a letter or send me a box!! HEY everyone... I finally got a chance to let you know I am settled into my new home.. or should I say my flat... I arrived here yesterday.. early in the morning... And I LOVE it... its beautiful... and everyone is so friendly..
My actual school doesn't start until tomorrow.. so we are free to do what we want.. very nice... me and a few of my friends went to this place called Castletown, which is like a mall.. and bought food for our flats... yummy.. everything is really different here.. i will have to show pics but i sure got a kick out of some of their things.. well I have to go and play my guitar now... so i will talk to you fine people later... Hey ya'll... whats new with me??.. I will tell you!!! First of all.. my last day of work is Friday!! Which im totally stoked about.. cause that means what?? YUP you guessed it.. NO MORE WORK!! And trust me, im so fine with that!!! Then there is the number of days left... hmm.. and what could that number be?? 8....yes.. EiGhT!!! WOW.. you're telling me... how fast has it gone.. Anywhose... the point is.. im so excited!! And how nice.. my youth group gave me a little "GO AWAY" party...lol... im mean going away!!! It was lovely.. cake, cards, cake in my face and all over the floor!! YES.. but it was a fun time... i'll show you pics!! But for now.. im gonna go.. the next post will probably be when I am in Aussie!! so for now... later from the U.S.!!

I want to start this post off by saying GOD BLESS YOU ALL!! and thank you to those whose helped me out.. kayla, thank you dear.. god is going to bless you... Everything that I have received is helping me so much... It looks really good!! God is blessing me so much... Things like this make everything so much better... so thats that.. He is working hard!!

So im getting really close to some people who are going.. that will be really nice.. and whats even better.. is i am meeting up with 3 girls in LA and we are flying to Australia together... I DONT HAVE TO FIGHT THE AIRPORTS ALONE!!! YAY!!! and whats even better then that is, two of the 3 girls im super close to will be there... amazing.. makes me smile... ahhh.. so good news is.. everything is coming together.. but i can not stress enough how important your support is.. and thats why i am so greatfull for those of you who have helped me... well 23 more days until my school starts.. and only 19 more days until i leave.. I am so stoked about this trip... OH MAN.. Hey ya'll.. and how is everyone?? Im doing alright...Getting really stressed out.. and really shouldn't be..This should be fun getting ready.. and it is.. but its sooooo much work... I hope to be doing a spahgetti feed soon.. to raise more money.. and then my church will help me out and the members in it...I plan to finally get my plane ticket soon.. and i pray everything will come together...I know it will... either way im going.. I finally recieved word that my visa has been accepted.... which is SUCH a relief... boy O' boy.. its about time!!! haha... And now I just have to get my plane ticket... thats the good news..

The bad news is.. i have so much money i still have to raise.. i have just been informed that if i dont get that money in then i dont get to go on my outreaches... that wont be good... so i ask for your prayers most importantly... but if there is any way you can help that would be awesome.. im looking at paying around 5,300 US dollars plus living costs as well.... so you can see that im put in a position to ask... i hate doing it.. but i am working full time to raise money and its not enough.. i cant do it alone.. i know most of you have school now and need money as well.. but maybe your parents can help or someone else you know... you might have your own financial problems.. but if there is anyway you can help.. you would never know how much that would mean to me.... if you decide you want to help.. email me at amy_marie_ferreira@yahoo.com and tell me... i will send you my address... you can send the money to me... even if its 5 dollars... anything will help.. i promise you all the money i get WILL go for my trip.. that you can trust... Well i only have 37 days left here in the united states.. thats exciting... but it's a little sad when you stop to think that i wont see ANYONE here for 6 months... But it will be an experience worth taking... AND i have an update on Brandon.. He left for Chico California for YWAM and he is having a blast... he is doing awesome and hearing from God a lot... pray for him and me as well... I sent in my visa application and they recieved it with no problems.. so thats a really good thing.. but im gonna go for now... and when something else happens.. you will know!!!
